about me

With over ten years of graphic design experience, I have honed my skills to specialize in page layout and logo design. My design career began as an undergraduate, creating logos and flyers for various clubs and events and designing page layouts for the student newspaper. From 2014-2017, I worked professionally in communications with a focus on producing logos, social media graphics, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and reports. During this time, I also began freelancing in page design and layout.

I have also worked as a copyeditor in my various positions and roles. I began copyediting when I became the arts & entertainment editor for my undergraduate newspaper. Since then, my career in communications made me the de facto editor for the press releases, social media posts, newsletters, brochures, reports, and letters that came across my desk. Even once I stepped outside of communications, I continued editing by taking on projects to edit memos, research proposals, websites, and informational pamphlets. In August 2021, I began my formal education in editing with the editing certificate program at the University of Chicago Graham School.

I also have a 9-5 job in grants management in the nonprofit sector for an organization that specializes in driving policy change in the environmental and government performance spheres. The grants I oversee are for research in marine science and biomedical science.
